Forest Week

Today anyone will say that forest planting is a great joy and benefit at the same time. On April 14, the children and teachers of the Volkovysk orphanage took part in the «Forest Week» campaign, which has already been held in Belarus for the 15th time. On the territory of the Volkovysk forestry, the children planted seedlings of spruce and larch.

Before starting work, the participants had a conversation about observation of labor safety rules when planting trees. Everyone worked responsibly, carefully planted young trees, with confidence: if you plant it correctly, you will get a good result. Useful work in the fresh air gave positive emotions and the opportunity to do a good work with your own hands. Tree planting is not difficult at all, and forest planting is doubly interesting, because now the children know how much work it takes to grow a young forest from a small seedling.

During the work, the children not only planted 1000 seedlings, but also mastered the features of planting. As an auxiliary tool, they used Kolesov's sword – a narrow steel shovel for planting seedlings of larch and spruce.

– We had an honorable and important job. We are worried about the natural resources of our region. We have inherited beautiful forests from previous generations. We must value their heritage, develop the present of forestry and take care of the future. Clear rules are also constantly being debugged – do not litter in the forest, take care of it when we understand what efforts it is worth to plant many trees – Dima Bylinsky, a student of the 11th grade, shares his impressions.

The children understand that greening our planet is a very important work. The tree is a symbol of peace. It is a reminder of the brittleness of nature and the need of its protection. Such events help implant the love of nature and contribute to the environmental education of the younger generation.

The green factory, the green planet, the green shield – whatever the forests are called... Moreover, in these short, exact expressions, the unshakable conviction: the forest is wonderful! The forest is the voice of our land. You just need to be able to listen to the noise of the green peaks, and it will tell you a lot. Wise people say that taking part in the spring planting of trees gives each of us the opportunity to talk to our descendants. After all, the forest lives a long life. Years later, someone will thank today's participants of the campaign for the green miracle.
